In this month’s edition we have many conclusions: the end of the
report on the destruction of Montecassino and fittingly for the month
of our Lady the final instalment of the history of Blessed Bartolo of
Naples. Since last month saw the death of the Holy Father and the election
of our present one, we publish the official statements of the Superior
General regarding the pontificate of Pope John Paul II and our hopes for
the pontificate of Pope Benedict XVI. At the time of going to press no
successor has been elected though we shall keep you informed next month
regarding any statement from our Superior. News of the Society from around
Southern Africa is enough to take up three pages this month so sit back,
relax and enjoy another bumper edition.
