Welcome to quite a bumper issue for this month of March! Since our request
for articles we’ve been quite snowed under trying to fit everything
in. Unfortunately some things had to be missed out this month: no room
for something ‘just for the little ones’ though the picture
for colouring-in is on p.11. The next instalment of the article on the
bombing of Montecassino is particularly apt since the feast of St. Benedict
falls on 21st March. There is also a short piece on the four last things
by St. Thomas More - excellent meditation material for Lent though sometimes
a little difficult to understand the English. Some of the more abstruse
expressions have modernisations in square brackets. Mgr. Fellay’s
latest letter is here with an update on relations with Rome and there
is a very interesting interview with H.E. Cardinal Napier (the Cardinal
Archbishop of Durban, South Africa) on the Aids crisis. The editorial
staff takes this opportunity to wish all our readers a fruitful Lent and
for the end of this month a blessed Easter.
