Talking about St. Peter at the golden pearly gates ....
Three thieves from Soweto arrived. St. Peter, horrified, begged them to wait a while.
"Lord, what must I do? There are three thieves who want to come into heaven." "Well," replied Our Lord, "ask them if they've repented."
A moment later St. Peter comes running back to Our Lord;
"Lord, they're gone, they're gone!"
"Well, calm down Peter, they no doubt went down below."
"Now Lord, the gates, the gates are gone!"
